Balmoral Beach beauties keep market interest strong
Despite being another relatively quiet week in real estate across the city following the Easter long weekend, there were some strong results on the lower north shore, with North Sydney proving to be one of the busiest areas for auctions, according to CoreLogic RP Data.
The highest sale price of the week was achieved in Mosman, where a five-bedroom family home sold for $5.18 million, setting a new street record.
Set well above street level and just 250m back from the shores of Balmoral Beach, the multi-level property had been listed with $4.8 million to $5 million price expectations. It includes an array of high-end features such as a new stone kitchen, landscaped gardens surrounding a swimming pool and outdoor terrace, various formal and casual living areas, a main bedroom with views across Balmoral and a cellar.
According to CoreLogic RP Data, the sale surpasses the previous highest result on the street of $3.7 million set just last month.
GONE WITHIN TWO WEEKS
It was a swift sale for another family home just a few streets away, which sold for $2.9 million within two weeks of being listed.
Located just moments from Balmoral Beach and set on a 778sq m block, the full brick three-bedroom family home at 12 Botanic Rd offered buyers the chance to leave as is, renovate or rebuild, with architect plans available.
Elevated above street level, it includes open-plan living areas, timber floors, leafy vistas and a large back terrace.
The property was listed with Vernon Partners Mosman agents Adam Vernon and Shelley McShane.
TOP VIEWS AND LUXURIES
A two-bedroom apartment in North Sydney has sold for $2.1 million.
Set within the western block of the “Iora” complex, the modern ground floor home at 60/1 Kiara Close includes a north-facing balcony with sweeping harbour vistas, a deep courtyard that each of the bedrooms opens out to, two marble bathrooms and access to pool, spa and gym facilities.
The property is also just a short walk to Kirribilli, the ferry and Milsons Point station.
It sold through McGrath Neutral Bay agents Heather McCartney and Tyron McCartney-Brown.
